Ground
Control & intelligence station (GCIS) is contained in a S 250/5-280
shelter and can be mounted on a pick up truck or equivalent military
vehicle.
The shelter is air- conditioned and the entire GCIS operates on
a 2.5KVA generator with a back up battery (24 VDC. 3-hour emergency
operation) .
The
GCIS contains all the components of the ground datalinks.
Uplink
The
primary uplink is in the L/S/C/X/Ku band (customer specified) -
9600 Baud 40 Watts, directional antenna.
The directional antenna has an automatic tracking system.
The
secondary uplink is in The UHF band (narrow band) - 9600 Baud, 25
Watts, Omni antenna.
Down
link
The
downlink is in the L/S/C/X/Ku band (customer specified).
Video and telemetry receiver - synthesized', frequency change capability.
Directional dish antenna (1.5 meter diameter), 150+ km range.
Mission planning
Mission
can contain as many as I 00 waypoints including altitude, speed
and maneuver pattern changes.
Controls POP and MOSP payload (or any other specified payload).

General
Description
The
GCIS currently consists of three operator consoles:
The
Flight Console and the Payload Console.
The third bay will be used as image exploitation console And has
not been completed.
Each of the GCIS consoles uses identical hardware and includes all
the equipment necessary to operate The BH UAV. The equipment in
the consoles are as follows:

Front panel controls for payload and air vehicle
3X Keyboard, joystick and Track Ball
3X I 9" LCD Display (1280 x 1024 pixels, 16 million colors)
Power supply unit Real-time micro-controller for telemetry.
